Dear friends, and users of PinPioneer. Today marks a new chapter in the life of this project.
Oblivious to me, my ex-business partner, had been trying to take PinPioneer out from under me. Three days ago he changed the passwords on the shared Gmail account & main site (email@example.com), and locked me out, he then proceeded to message some of you, informing of a new Pinterest product he’s releasing. AND.. this comes right after he attempted to steal $1500 from my personal credit card. So, I’m not overly pleased with that behaviour.. ha.
Oh well… that’s all I’ll say on the matter. Everything else will be sorted legally. I just wanted you to know the context of my decision.
At this point in time, my intention is to make PinPioneer FREE for everybody, and release the source code to the public (link for source will be up shortly).
We’ve had a fun ride guys, but as much as it pains me to say I have to step away from this project. It’s been over two years and I’ve come to realize that perhaps, I’m no longer a suitable candidate to manage PP. And for that I am truly sorry. I hope you take the app forward, use the code, make it into something even better.
In the meantime, I will be focusing on software development in the private sector, and looking to grow the services offered by Software Syndicate, including taking on more consultancy clients etc. I’ll be back.
If you would like to get in contact with me, please send an email only to firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your support and feedback, and finally your loyalty over these last few years has been immeasurable.
Keep it tight,
Eric / Rick
